This Temple is also called as varasiddhi vinayagar temple because first it was started with Lord Ganapathy in the year 1967 by HPF Employees in their own home ground.

In the year 1978 Sri Dharmasastha and in the year 1987 Sri Bhaktha Anjaneyar.
There was a miracle story behind constructing Lord Anjaneyar.
Mr.Natarajan a Manager was a devotee of Lord Anjaneyar and performing every day pooja and every week bajan with his office colleagues. one day while doing bajan they saw the betel leaf garland on the photo of Lard Anjaneyar started lengthening suddenly in size. After bajan they closed the office and went home. The next day while opening the office on the Anjaneyar photo they saw lot of KhumKhum (Red auspicious powder made out of Turmeric) falling from the photo. All are emotionally thrilled with surprise and thought there is a supreme power with that Lord Anjaneyar picture.

Immediately they planed to construct a separate Sanithanam for Lord Anjeneyar. But where to go for fund for the new building that also by the Lord started coming the next day on wards in Lakhs.
Thus the Lord Anjaneyar Sannithanam was constructed in the year 1987.

On the surrounding wall of the Lord Anjaneyar there are several deity like Sri vishwaksenar, Sri Lakshmi, Sriman Narayanar, Sri Yoga Narasimhar, Sri Durgai are there.

Then in the year 1989 Sri Rajarajeswari Amman sanithanam and a half a kms distant Lord Jalakandeswarar Temple was constructed.

Noe the present Sri Prasanna Venkateshwara Swamy Temple was started with Bhoomi Pooja in the year 2003. Some how they managed to collect fund for the construction to complete the temple while the HPF was under loss and no job for the employee and their family.
For the Peace & Prosperity of the Nation & The Nilgiris District in Particular construction of the Temple for Lord of Kaliyuga, the presiding deity of the Seven hill (Tirupathi / Tirumala) Sri Venkateswars Swamy, has been Proposed.
SRI PRASANNA VENKATESHWARAR TEMPLE VIEW
The idols of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, Padmavathy Thayar have been donated by Tirumalala Tirupathy Devas thanam and have been designed exactly as per Agamasatra replicating the presiding deities of Tirumala & Tiruchanoor.
The Temple construction has the direct blessings of Poojaya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi, Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal of Kanchi Mutt, and Sri Madambakkam Srinivasa Bhattacharyar, the Chief Priest of Tirumala Tirupathi Temple.
The Temple is being constructed with the involvement of every citizen of Ooty and citizens from 400 villages in and around Ooty, with an estimation of Rs.50 Lakhs for the construction of the Temple. Daily pooja in the Temple including salaries to Archakas will be around 12 Lakhs per annum.
Bhoomi pooja was conducted on 20-03-2003 by two Adyapakas of Tirumala Temple Sri .K. Varadhachari & A.K.Narasimhachari with the aid of the Asthana Stapadis Sri. A.B. Lakshiminarayanan & A.B.L.Guhanathan who have started the foundation work.(These stapathis already constructed the then Tirupathy Sri Venkateswara Swamy (Balaji) temple in Karamadai, near Coimbatore).
Representatives from 400 villages in and around Nilgiris participated in the bhoomi pooja function, with their religious fervor. About 4800 persons participated in Annadanam, the same day in the Temple.
All these are functioning properly till HPF was working. Now It is very difficult to do every day pooja to all the deities. The funds collection are limited because no enough staff, almost HPF is closed. We request EVERYONE to involve whole-heartedly, to contribute to your mite liberally for the Temple routine works like poojas, neivedyam, flowers and garlands, oil for lamps, Archagar salary and other maintenance of the Temple.It is previously proposed to perform the daily poojas exactly as per Tirumala Temple rituals including Prasada viniyogams(distribution).
Mr Kannan Young PUROHIT is taking care of the daily Pooja's at his best in the collection and has a very clear devotional vision in developing and maintaining this Temple. He wanted donations from the devotees in developing a flower garden and trees for the daily pooja need.He also has a vision of helping and educating poor children in the near by village.But for all these activity.he need basic help from the citizens and devotees. the travelers who come to visit ooty from Mysore road from Bangalore and Mysore can visit this Temple before entering Ooty city. At least a rupee or two from each person can help in full filling the daily needs of pooja. The Temple needs funds.
The Temple also has Lord Iyappan, Manjaloka Mada, Nagaraj deities sannithanam. This Temple is a miles stone of Temples in the Ooty City. Every year during Karthigai month Iyappan devotees gather here to perform bajans , poojas and Annadhanams(free food).
